The Times of Yore

Encapsulated into the fond memories of the past, I tend to rise onto a new shuddering reality that time has moved on and nothing is in my hand but the sand of time, which shall flow out before long. On yet another instance, I find myself –my mind all clouded over by the harsh reality of the past whose being changed is nothing more than chimerical, and the time all coagulated in my life, and I am still living in the past where the world scores over me.

The above though apparently was pointing to me but was not so. It was created from the experience of the millions of my fellow mortals who find themselves entrapped into the moribund tide of time, trying to sway along it yet being unable to wriggle out of its cobwebbed reminiscences. Memories-good, bad, sweet, sad- all have an important role-play in the drama of life. And we as mere puppets play along- is it so?

I do not believe. Memories are to be cherished yet not lived again. The good ones remind us of the happy times and the sad ones participate in making the happiness count. As for the bad ones, people regret on what happened in their past and try to draw inspiration from it not to commit the same mistake again, yet they remain coagulated into the yore of their life unable to move ahead with the same zeal. The reason being their inability to respect their deplorable times and, their desire of somehow being able to get back into the past for the sake of changing their present, unable to realize that “Time is free, but it's priceless. You cannot own it, but you can use it. You cannot keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.” Hence, the importance of what one learns from it is lost forever. One should learn to respect their past for these things that ever happened, make us into what we are today! So if we hate our past, we hate ourselves. The only reason for time is so that not everything happens at once.

Another aspect that is to be considered is that people keep on lamenting on the gaffes that they committed and for which the other person did not accept their apology, and they keep on looking at themselves for the times to come, just as the other one perceived them.

Your time is limited, so do not waste it living someone else's life. Do not be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Do not let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. You have to grow, mature, and learn to accept your mistakes for the sake of living life and not for explaining yourself to others.  Everything else is secondary. “Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever...”

Another kind of people keeps on engraving themselves into the merry memories and loose onto what is going in the present. As it is well said, “Past is History; the Future is a Mystery; Present is a Gift and that is why it is called so.” Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking, and go in. Life is all about timing... the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable. Have the patience, wait it out it is all about timing, but when you have to play on-just Rock On! “You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future ensnared by the miseries of the past”

In all, one should have no regrets because life always gives you the best of what you deserve. Life is perfect with its rocks on the way impelling you to perform the stunts on it. If you do it fine- you succeed; if you fall down and rise up again-you proceed; but if you stay down, a brain is what you need!
